About MFT
Manchester Football Therapy was started from one belief: that getting out on the pitch, being around people, and playing the game you love can genuinely change how you feel.
We are not a clinic. We are a community — people from all walks of life who show up and leave feeling better than when they arrived. No leagues, no performance pressure, no judgement on ability.
Whether you have been struggling with your mental health, fallen out of the routine of exercise, or simply miss a good game with good people — there is a place here for you.

Weekly sessions
Spaces are limited and booked via weekly poll in our WhatsApp group. Join to secure your spot. All sessions on 3G turf — astro or moulded studs only, no metal studs. Bibs and balls provided.
How it works
Showing up consistently — even when you don’t feel like it — is the first act of self-care. MFT gives you an anchor in your week and a structure that quietly builds resilience.
Sixty minutes of physical activity is not nothing. The evidence for exercise and mental health is overwhelming. No gym membership, no fitness level required.
Isolation compounds everything. Being around people reduces anxiety and lifts mood. The MFT group understands what it means to need a good week.
We keep it explicitly non-competitive. Every ability is genuinely welcome. The session only works when everyone feels safe — so we actively build and protect that environment.
